Blake Shelton Almost Quit The Voice Before Season 23

Blake Shelton’s departure from “The Voice” marks the end of an era. “The Voice” coach and country vocalist has been with the show since its beginning in 2011 when it debuted on NBC. Although Shelton was already a well-known singer when he began serving as a coach, there’s no doubt that his appearance on the NBC hit won him new fans, as many saw a different side of him.

According to NBC, Shelton has won nine times on “The Voice,” With his last season, he might reach double-digit wins (and all the bragging rights that come with that)! All good things must end, including Shelton’s successful run on the NBC show. Shelton announced his departure from the show in October. “I’ve been debating this for a while, and I’ve decided that it’s time for me to move away from ‘The Voice’ after Season 23,” he wrote in a lengthy Instagram post. “This program has altered my life for the better in every manner, and it will always feel like home to me. It’s been a wild ride these past 12 years.”
